Critical Care
A veterinarian that specializes in Critical Care treats pets who have life-threatening emergencies, need intensive care while they are recovering from illnesses or surgical procedures and managing the critically ill pet.
Rest assured, when your pet is in need of our ICU and Critical Care, they will receive compassionate, expert care from the most credentialed team in the area. Lead by a specialist in Emergency and Critical Care, the practice includes nearly a dozen emergency clinicians and approximately twenty licensed veterinary technicians, several of whom have advanced certification in the veterinary specialty of Emergency and Critical Care.
Our dedicated team is uniquely qualified to provide the best across-the-board care from stabilizing trauma patients, to overnight monitoring and advanced life support.
- We’re open 24 hours a day, 365 days per year including holidays. While there are other 24 hour facilities, we are proud that our teams are ER and Critical Care specialists with training and experience beyond a clinic with extended hours.
- We are an AAHA accredited referral hospital – and have voluntarily been inspected, meeting 940 different quality standards from patient care to communication. Less than 15% of hospitals nationwide meet their standards of excellence
- Seeing thousands of patients each year as the largest emergency room in the area, we have experience seeing both critical cases and those that quickly need accurate diagnostics and/or supportive care
- Our team of Veterinarians and Veterinary Nurses specialize in responding quickly in life threatening situations and are fully trained in CPR and advanced life saving skills
- Our teams are who primary care veterinarians trust and turn to when they can’t be there for supportive care, after hours, or advanced diagnostics
- We see patient of all ages and conditions – from minor emergencies to complex traumas – if you’re concerned about your pets behavior, or well being, we’re here to help
- We work with your primary care veterinarians readily and collaborate with them – reviewing your records, sharing our recommendations for follow up care and treatments received and include them throughout hospitilzation
- We are passionate about emergency care and spend hours each year in continuing education, training and improving our response
- We provide everything you need to provide to your pet insurance provider and work with Care Credit as a third party financing option
